Day 1: Cincinnati to Paris
Friday was my day off. Jason and I decided to sleep in a bit.
Our last meal in the US for a while was spent at Rock Bottom. I had a coupon for a free appetizer that had to be used in 2007.
We had a nice meal---and talked a lot. The feeling of not having to work was amazing (I have given up so much, sacrificed so much for my previous work assignment, and now it feels good to just let it go.) Obviously, I was so excited about Jason seeing the places that I've talked about. He also has a love for travel and it is fun to see things through his eyes.
Troy drove us to the airport; we showed up well ahead of schedule.

I had had a couple of beers before we left. I'm sure the Tylenol company doesn't especially suggest taking its Tylenol PM medicine with a gin and tonic, on a plane. It may have not been healthy, but I slept like a baby--for 6 hours. Jason was only able to get 2 or so in, but was a trouper.
